Collaborations
Here you will find works I have been collaborating artistically in the conception and in the choreography.
ODDACITY collective
In 2022 Margherita co-funded the collective ODDACITY, together with Tamora Dinklage, Anna Roßmüller, Sebastian Varra, Dimitrios Vasilakis and Vincent Köhr. Under Oddacity they are finding ways to work together collaboratively, non-hierarchically and co-creatively. As a cluster of artists, they are looking for ways to work together and create interdisciplinary performances based on the interweaving of their individual approaches to dance/mediation/performance as well as the common desire to engage in social and political discourse through their artistic work.
DREAMS
(2021)
“Sharing a dream means disclosing deeper aspects of personal empowerment” (Lee Irwin)
Dreams is a duo based on real dreams created and performed by Margherita Dello Sbarba and Francesco D'Amelio, the original music was composed and performed by Justyna Niznik.
The performance is a collection of dream fragments, a succession of scenes that are apparently incongruent but united by the aesthetics and theme of dreams. Dancing choreographies alternate with theatrical scenes with original texts written by Francesco D'Amelio. A journey between imagination and reality to awaken the dormant dreams in each of us.
Choreography and interpretation: Margherita Dello Sbarba, Francesco D'Amelio
Music: Justyna Niznik

WOLKEN
(2019)
In the piece "Wolken", the musicians Álvaro Núñez Carbullanca and Moritz Wesp and the dancers Francesco D'Amelio and Margherita Dello Sbarba blur boundaries. They are interested in the moment in which they no longer appear as dancers or musicians, but as "operators" who use different forms of expression. Movements, sounds and things become equal materials that can be heard and felt.

BATH
(2019)
Bath is a collective multi-sensorial experience, which tries to establish new kinds of relations between the participants. As the action unfolds the difference between performers and public dims until it disappears completely, there are only participants, sharing that moment, stepping together into the unknown. In its simplicity Bath opens possibilities of change and transformation. The hierarchical system is overcome, we are all the same body yet different, each needing to be listened to, to be approached with care.
